We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers, Qatar. As a key member of our senior leadership, you will drive innovation, lead multiple engineering teams, and oversee critical projects that shape the future of our organization.

Develop and execute strategic engineering initiatives aligned with organizational goals Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence Oversee multiple complex engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and process improvements Provide technical expertise and guidance to solve complex engineering challenges Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies Implement and maintain robust quality control processes and safety standards Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and partners Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and methodologies Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or related field; advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering roles, including significant time in senior management positions Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale, complex engineering projects Strong technical knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop talent Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills Superior communication and interpersonal abilities Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution Strong business acumen and financial management skills Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools In-depth understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices Ability to drive technological advancements and process improvements Passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning Experience working in a global, multicultural environment is a plus
