• Sourcing, selecting and management of the mutual funds open architecture platform, single line securities, and the broader focus list management.
• Coverage engagement including creation and delivery of pitch books/investment solutions guide, client engagement where appropriate, provision of training and development.
• Responsible for sourcing and selection of mutual funds, and single line securities, for use by coverage teams, advisory and discretionary managers as appropriate.
• Development and management of the FAB Focus List (short list of investments universe i.e. third party and FAB equity and fixed income funds, single name securities, alternatives, etc.). This includes but is not limited to conducting due diligence, providing insights, alerts, and advice/recommendations to stakeholders (Investment Advisors, relationship managers, discretionary asset managers, where appropriate) on the focus list.
• Responsible for sourcing and selection of mutual funds, and single line securities, for use by coverage teams, advisory and discretionary managers as appropriate.
• Development and management of the FAB Focus List (short list of investments universe i.e. third party and FAB equity and fixed income funds, single name securities, alternatives, etc.). This includes but is not limited to conducting due diligence, providing insights, alerts, and advice/recommendations to stakeholders (Investment Advisors, relationship managers, discretionary asset managers, where appropriate) on the focus list.
• Support in structuring and development of investment products and solutions from concept to launch across all asset classes for local, regional and international distribution as appropriate. This process will include inter alia to support in:

o Undertaking research on investment trends/market assessment and due diligence on investment ideas/proposals;

o Preparation of legal documents, liaising with compliance to submit to regulatory authorities as appropriate;

o Liaising with middle office and back office for mapping the process flow;

o Interacting with internal and external legal advisors for review of the legal documents;

o Liaising with internal sales teams to ensure continued buy in and alignment with the sales process;

o Liaising with the product marketing and launch process teams to ensure a smooth product delivery to market.

• Monitoring, analysis and management/maintenance of investment products and solutions (including managing documentation).
• Support in development and management of product programmes (PPGs) for Mutual Funds and Single line securities.
• Responsible for project management and working closely with internal and external counterparties e.g. legal and compliance, operations and third party service providers, risk management, amongst others; Drafting and finalization of proposals and seeking relevant products/solutions approvals as appropriate.
• Undertaking research on investment trends/market assessment and/or due diligence on investment ideas/proposals.
• Undertaking competitor analysis and provide relevant intelligence to the team.
• Working on projects as per Project Register and Products Calendar and contribute to policies and procedures.
• Support to opportunistically launch fixed income and equity products, whether sourced through third parties providers or FAB debt / equity capital market team.
• Prepare product packs including term sheets, teasers, presentations and other applicable offering documents in liaison with counterparties and other stakeholders.
• Prepare regulatory filings (application, supporting documents, etc.), seek regulatory approvals and submit regulatory reporting requirements in time.
• Manage the investment products risk rating and client profiling framework.
• Conduct trainings for the coverage to explain the investment products.
• Review and update sales and operational processes/documents with the objectives of superior client experience.
• Ensure prompt delivery of product while complying with strict compliance and legal requirements.
• Engagement and provide full support on strategic project initiatives relating to EPB.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' experience investments, asset management and/or investment banking
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or an industry qualification
• An MBA and/or a CPA/CFA will be an advantage
• In-depth experience of investment product development, life-cycle management, investment research, due diligence, fund structures, investment processes and regulations
• Appreciation of deadlines, attention to detail and delivery driven.
• Team player with a positive disposition who works extremely well with colleagues, engagement of peers and superiors as well as clients as appropriate.
• Possess a solutions driven attitude.
• Ability to operate independently.
• Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Fluency in English. Skills in another language e.g. Arabic is a benefit.
