The Role::
- This role will make sure that ICT enterprise architecture is supporting the company business plan, ensure the right systems are in place and enforce design principles/ best practices.
- This role will work across all ICT division for delivering fit for purpose enterprise quality solutions, and defining operational system strategy for growth.
- The role will manage the business intelligence, and Enterprise support systems.
- Prepare the business plan and ICT strategy.
- This role will work closely with Group Architects to promote best practice, sharing expertise and promoting the ICT Architecture programme
Key Activities:
- The ICT Architect will lead the ICT architecture strategy and innovation. The evaluation of the existing systems and technologies and development of strategic solutions and blueprints to solve stated business challenges, within the Ooredoo Network.
- The ICT architect has to work with stakeholders, both management level and SME level across the organization to build a holistic view of the organization's strategy, processes, and link this to the ICT department strategy.
- Lead the capture of the As Is architecture in Ooredoo Kuwait ICT departments.
- Lead the developing of the To Be architecture & Develop ICT Architecture models.
- Identify the challenges and plan & implement new technologies for architectural enhancement to optimize the Data Network performance.
- Promotion of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows.
- Build a roadmap for core network virtualization, and build its business case.
- Improve design aspects of existing systems Products and services and formulate respective design documents.Manage activities related to teams within Business Intelligence Unit, revenue assurance
- Manage the process of maintaining the enterprise logical data model & Data dictionary.
- Support finance revenue assurance team.
- Manage the process of ETL standards. .
- Support provision of daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports from the Data Warehouse.
- Support provision of reports from relevant operational systems when the data is not sourced in Data Warehouse.
- Support provision of reports on Engineering / Technical statistics.
- Manage the big data platform, and deployment of machine learning / AI.
- Support the Network probes and Anytics platform.
- Ensure the data confidentiality and security.
- Provide the needed reports to businessSupport the planning, implementation and architecture of enterprise support system.
- The enterprise supports systems domain includes the ERP, revenue assurance, CVM, productivity and automation.Align Ooredoo Kuwait ICT to Group-wide KPI’s for Best practice Architecture
- Align Ooredoo Kuwait Technology roadmap with the group technology roadmap and reflect this in the 3 years Business Plan.
- Participating & Execute OOREDOO group strategies and competency centres covering strategy drafting and knowledge sharing with Ooredoo OPCO’s
- Assess new Application Solutions market trends and map them to the Company Application environment to leverage their benefits.Training, mentoring and development of expertise with the System Architect tool across the ICT department
- Recruit reporting staff as required.Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.
- Ensure that upper management is informed on all critical issues pertaining to the area responsible for.
- Other duties as directed by supervisor or other superiors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science/ Telecoms / Communications / Electronics Engineering or related discipline and appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute
Other Information:
- 8-9 years Knowledge of key mobile telecom systems, platforms and technologies, including hardware and software components
- Ability to explain key aspects of technology innovation, information systems, and networks to key people
- TOGAF 9 Certified is a plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems in information and telecommunication domain.
- High degree of conceptual and strategic thinking analytical and organised
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of cultures in a diverse community
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to boards and senior management
- Mature ability to work collaboratively with management teams throughout the organization and to be seen as a valuable expert resource to be sought out
- Excellent command of both written and verbal English, Arabic would be an advantageStrong Analytical skills
