Job purpose:

Provide strong support for corridor business, especially that between FAB China/Asia Offices and the GCCE countries.

Senior relationship management in GCCE countries of Chinese clients and Asian clients.

Working closely with GRMs of China and Asian Office to strategize, plan, execute and close corridor businesses.

Senior representation of China/Asia businesses in UAE in the China/Asia business communities.

Key Accountabilities:

China/Asia Corridor Business Planning

Working closely with China/Asia Coverage Heads and under guidance of Head of Global Subsidiary to strategize, plan and grow the corridor business between China/Asia and UAE/GCCEs (\xe2\x80\x9cThe Corridor Business).

Provide support for Head of Global Subsidiary and China/Asian Coverage Heads in preparing and delivering budget of The Corridor Business.

Assist China/Asian Coverage Heads to formulate appropriate credit strategy and risk appetite on The Corridor Business.

Client Relationship Management & Business Promotion

Provide clear direction and advice in managing the existing corridor portfolio of corporate clients between China/Asia and GCCE countries with the objective of growing the wallet size.

Working closely with China/Asia Coverage team and Product teams in growing The Corridor Business portfolio;

Provide strong client coverage on Chinese/Asian clients in UAE/GCCEs, including senior relationship management AND day-to-day clients supports, including (but not limited) to limit utilization, drawdown requirement, client onboarding & account opening process, other operational issues;

Ensure cross-selling the Bank\'s products and services to the corridor clients;

Work closely with China/Asia Coverage teams to ensure the best financing solutions are provided to China/Asia corridor corporate clients in UAE/GCCE, and to cross-sell the Bank\'s products and to identify revenue generating opportunities.

Monitor risk and ensuring that the bank\'s relationship strategy is in line with the portfolio and industry quality.

Delivering Target

Be responsible for locally booked budget for UAE/GCCEs by China/Asia clients;

Ensure other targets such as x-sell, return, and portfolio quality;

Ensure a healthy flow of NewToBank clients from UAE/GCCEs regions pertaining The Corridor Business;

Compliance and Risk Management

Take up full 1LoD Compliance and Risk responsibility of The Corridor Business.

Ensure activities of The Corridor Business to be fully compliant with Group and local Compliance requirement.

Provide strong support for China/Asia Coverage teams to ensure sound portfolio quality in order to mitigate Credit Risks.

Help to minimize operational or business risk for The Corridor Business and FAB.

Representation at senior level

Represent FAB in front of (senior) stakeholders within he UAE/GCCE business communities related to the Corridor Business.

Promote FAB to the business associations, industry bodies of China/Asian clients in UAE/GCCEs.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:

Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline with 5-8 years of experience in similar capacity with China and Asia Client Coverage in UAE or one of the GCCE countries;

Good understanding of the functioning of The Corridor Business with China/Asian countries;

Possess strong market contacts with Chinese/Asian clients in UAE/GCCE and fluency in Mandarin are essential

Ability to demonstrate a strong track record of success in identifying, structuring and delivering financing solutions to China/Asian clients in UAE/GCCE.

Wide knowledge of debt market, syndication, trade finance and strong in financial risk analysis and has the ability to analyse and mitigate all underlying risks

Awareness of market trends, pricing information and underwriting appetite related to the Corridor Business;

Skills:

Strong track record of success in identifying, structuring and delivering financing solutions to a diverse client base.

Strong marketing and relationship management skills.

Ability to engage at Senior Management level with Global and Regional peers and other stakeholders.

Collaborative team player and highly adaptable to the changing needs of internal and external customers.

Strong negotiations, communication, presentation and influencing skills across multi-cultural and company boundaries.

Leadership and decision-making skills.

Proficient in spoken & written English, and Arabic language skill is a strong plus.
