About the role:

The Food Factory Director is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire operations of a food manufacturing facility. The Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the production of high-quality food products in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong managerial skills, and a comprehensive understanding of food production processes

Job responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement day to day processes for effective and smooth operation.
  • Responsible to ensure the factory is operating under highest food safety management standards
  • Responsible for the P&L of the factory, monitor the COGS, fixed overheads, variable overheads, CAPEX.
  • Oversee the financial information for the factory and revise budgets that can promote profitability of the factory.
  • Lead the production & maintenance divisions, budget the requirement of manpower, CAPEX, spare parts and monitor the budget deviation.
  • Supervise the machine productivity and staff productivity. Set targets for efficiency by ensuring limited downtime in the factory.
  • Liaise with finance for product pricing and providing inputs on product yields, manhour, utility requirements.
  • Liaise with demand planning team to ensure all products are forecasted, to plan the material requirements and manpower requirement.
  • Work closely with HR business team to review the manpower requirement basis of forecast, formulate team structures for effective operation.
  • Ensure autonomous and preventive maintenance plans are adhered and the health of the equipment are maintained.
  • Closely monitor the Raw material & packaging material performance to feed inputs to the procurement team to ensure the right quality of material is consistently supplied across the factories and thereby optimize costs.
  • Review the material planning report for timely delivery of materials.
  • Discuss with marketing department on strategies on product innovations, packaging innovations
