Job Responsibilities :-
Manage and support the execution of mandates, execution recommendations and business development of the Bond Syndicate desk
Ensure regular and effective client and investor interaction, at all levels of seniority
Ensure Bond Syndicate provides services & offering to a level consistent with best in class market standards
Meet annual targets as provided by the Head of Bond Syndicate.
Generic Accountability
Assist in the coordination with DCM and develop relationships with the CEOs, CFOs, and Treasurers of the leading companies/institutions in the sector
Support deal execution
Establish and foster strong working relationships with key internal stake holders (e.g. Global Markets, Coverage, Credit etc.)
Maintain strong engagement and regular contact with key investors/Portfolio Managers in the region and internationally.
Ensures compliance with all legal, regulatory (UAE & international), compliance, audit, contractual and staff safety requirements
Support implementation of new products as required
Specific Accountability
Assist in the pricing, underwriting and execution of Fixed Income (Bonds, Sukuk, Private Placements)
Coordinate deal and non-deal roadshows
Perform market update and credit research
Act as a liaison to the Credit Sales and Credit Trading force
Contribute to the development of an optimal distribution model for DCM & Bond Syndicate transactions utilising the investor placement capabilities on internal stakeholders, including CIB coverage, elite and private banking
Manage the booking of trade tikcets and assist in aggregrate hedges and risk management Build, nurture and develop relations with key investors and issuers
Assist in the management and oversee the GCF Investment Books (GCF Primary Fixed Income Book & GCF Foreign Portfolio Investor Book)
Framework, Boundaries & Decision making authority :
Functions within the framework and boundaries of Group policies as well as overall organisational and governance frameworks
Authorised to take decisions as per the approved authorisation matrix
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in finance / Business or related discipline. MBA and/or professional qualifications (e.g. CFA/CAIA/ACCA) Minimum Experience
Preferably 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the banking sector within Debt Capital Markets & Bond Syndicate or related activity.
Industrial sector expertise is essential
Sound knowledge of investment appraisals, financial modelling (valuations) and legal/regulatory environments
Proven track record of delivery against execution
Ability to be a team player
Fluent in English & Arabic (advantageous)
Knowledgeable of local, Middle East and International markets
Good interpersonal, motivation & marketing-orientated skills
Being able to work under pressure
