Diet Center Manager
Job description
We are seeking a highly qualified Diet Center Manager with a strong background in food service operations, including catering, delivery, and restaurant service. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of government food safety and handling regulations and remain up to date with the latest medical and dietary equipment.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of nutrition services across catering, delivery, and restaurant operations.
2. Ensure compliance with local, state, and national government food handling and hygiene regulations.
3. Design and implement nutritional programs tailored to various dietary needs and health conditions.
4. Supervise the selection, maintenance, and use of current medical and dietary equipment.
5. Conduct staff training on proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and dietary protocols.
6. Collaborate with kitchen staff and service teams to maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
7. Stay current on innovations in nutrition science, medical dietary practices, and regulatory updates.
8. Evaluate and improve menu offerings for nutritional value, dietary trends, and patient/client satisfaction.
9. Establish standardized recipes and portion control procedures to ensure consistency and nutritional integrity.
10. Guide the development of therapeutic and specialized diets (e.g., diabetic, renal, cardiac, allergen-free menus).
11. Participate in audits, inspections, and reporting as required by health authorities.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in food service management (catering, delivery, and restaurant services)
Strong knowledge of government regulations related to food safety and public health.
Experience with modern medical and dietary equipment.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage a diverse team.
Familiarity with dietary software systems, food production tools, Dietary Menu, and nutrition analysis programs.
Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Proven understanding of public health regulations, nutritional guidelines, and food safety laws.
2. Experience working in hospitals, wellness centers, or institutional food services
3. Proficiency in dietary software or nutrition management systems
4. Proficiency in clinical nutrition, medical-dietary assessments, and diet therapy.
5. Familiarity with dietary software systems, food production tools, and nutrition analysis programs.
6. Demonstrated experience in participating in government and institutional tender processes for health or nutrition-related products/services.
7. Proven experience in planning and executing marketing strategies for healthcare or nutrition-related services/products.
8. Strong understanding of digital and traditional marketing channels, with ability to collaborate on branding and promotional campaigns.
9. Strong understanding of tender documentation, proposal development, pricing strategies, and compliance requirements in Qatar.
10. . Demonstrated expertise in identifying cost-saving opportunities in nutrition programs, procurement, and service operations.
11. Experience in implementing cost control measures, including supply chain optimization and resource utilization tracking.
12. . Strong understanding of pricing models for nutritional services/products in the Qatari market.
13. . Experience in working with finance and procurement teams to ensure value-driven purchasing decisions.
14. . Capability to align nutritional strategies with financial constraints and optimize service delivery without compromising quality.
15. . Proven ability to develop, manage, and monitor budgets for nutrition programs, clinical operations, or public health initiatives.
16. . Experience in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and resource allocation plans aligned with organizational goals.
17. . Knowledge of cost-benefit analysis methods related to nutrition interventions, product procurement, and service delivery.
18. . Ability to prepare high-quality reports, proposals, and presentations in both clinical and business contexts.
