specializing in heavy trucks and trailers, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a fleet of company-owned heavy trucks (Iveco, Renault, and Volvo) and trailers. The ideal candidate possesses in-depth mechanical expertise, strong troubleshooting abilities, and thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of heavy trucks, trailers, and associated equipment.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and related components.
Conduct comprehensive inspections of trucks and trailers at the company garage upon arrival, documenting findings in detailed inspection reports.
Carry out detailed servicing of trucks and trailers, ensuring all tasks are accurately recorded in service reports.
Ensure all vehicles comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Replace or repair defective components using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of repairs, parts usage, and service schedules.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
Continuously update technical knowledge and stay informed of advancements in industry techniques, equipment, and best practices.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably with heavy trucks and trailers.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and mechanical repair techniques.
