Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in diesel engines
Perform repairs on engine components: injectors, pistons, turbochargers, fuel pumps, etc.
Conduct routine maintenance: oil and filter changes, belt replacements, coolant flushes
Use diagnostic equipment to identify performance issues and error codes
Test engines post-repair to ensure proper operation and compliance with standards
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and part usage logs
Ensure a clean and organized workshop area
Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment at all times
Assist with breakdowns or emergency repairs on-site or off-site
Requirements:
Technical diploma or certification in Diesel Mechanics or Automotive Technology
2-5 years of experience working with diesel engines (vehicles or equipment)
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and engine testing equipment
Strong understanding of engine systems: fuel, cooling, exhaust, electrical, and hydraulic
Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in various conditions
Basic knowledge of safety regulations and workshop practice.
Good communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and in team settings
Willingness to work flexible hours or on-call shifts if required
