Qualifications
Diploma in
Diesel Mechanic
or equivalent technical qualification.
Minimum
5 years of proven experience
in diesel engine maintenance and overhauling.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Perform
overhauling, fault finding, and troubleshooting
of diesel engines.
Strong working knowledge of
diesel engine-driven fire pumps
and associated systems.
Hands-on experience in
horizontal split-case centrifugal fire pump overhauling
.
Skilled in
disassembly, assembly, alignment, and balancing
of fire pumps.
Proficient in the use of
special tools and precision measuring instruments
.
Good understanding of
electrical systems
, including battery chargers, starters, and control panels related to diesel fire pumps.
Conduct
fire pump flow testing
and performance verification.
Knowledge of
pressure relief valves, automatic valve packages, and pneumatic actuators
.
Experience in
servicing and maintaining firefighting systems and equipment
.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
Ensure work is carried out in compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
