Overview

We are recruiting for a Diabetic Specialist Nurse (DSN) who are keen to relocate to Dubai, UAE from the UK or Ireland. You will be working solely for a private Emirati VIP client family, and supporting a broader team of Health specialists, providing one to one care for a 15 yr female Diabetes patient within the private home and Medical setting, also to be on hand to assist with any family medical issues as they arise, and to accompany them when travelling overseas.

Candidates will be sourced directly from the UK or Ireland and must be flexible for relocation.

ROLE: Diabetes Specialist Nurse (DSN).

CONTRACT DURATION: 2 yrs fixed term contract, fully extendable and option to renew for longer if required.

CLIENT: A private Emirati VIP family and 15 yr old female patient.

LOCATION: Based in Dubai, UAE with regular international travel overseas.

HOURS: Various timings. Likely outside of school hours, evenings and weekends. To be on call or on-site and available for up to 5 days per week, up to 8 hrs per day, within the private family Clinic. Hours will be flexible when travelling with the client overseas. Lots of free time will be provided to study during working hours.

SALARY & BENEFITS: \xc2\xa33,800 (AED 17,000), NET take home pay + Shared accommodation + Meals when travelling + Transport when required + Yearly return airtickets to home country + Private medical cover + 30 days paid holiday + Visa costs + Worldwide travel overseas accompanying the client / family / employees and guests.

SUMMARY: You will be required to provide healthcare advice and guidance regarding healthy eating habits, monitoring blood sugars, reminding patient when to eat as well as acting as a companion to accompany the patient when required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • IDEALLY already be UAE resident or located in Dubai but overseas candidates will be considered for relocation.
  • IDEALLY with DHA eligibility or already licensed but not essential.
  • MUST have at least 2 yrs general Nursing experience + 1 yr specialist treating Diabetes.
  • MUST have an excellent standard of communication, English as first language.
  • IDEALLY with overseas / international experience in UK / Ireland / Australia / NZ or Canada.
  • Able to take up post within 2 months.
  • Agreeable to living in shared accommodation with another Nurse within the family villa complex.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • To be on hand to administer general Nursing care and treatment.
  • Responsible for the daily medical needs & routine healthcare.
  • Responsible for the daily medical needs & routine healthcare for their employees and guests where required.
  • Assist Doctors and other medical staff where needed.
  • Administer medicines and treatments where required.
  • Offer sound medical and healthcare advice.
  • Maintain Clinic equipment and stocks.
  • Keep thorough medical notes and records.
