This role is responsible for driving Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority\xe2\x80\x99s overall Tourism Development B2B (trade) tourism strategy primarily in China & Hongkong and in other East Asian Markets. The selected candidate will be part of a very dynamic team and will support and enhance the seamless operation of the Destination Tourism Development department. This colleague will act as an ambassador for the destination and will be part of a very dynamic tourism board which was named Tourism & Hospitality Company of the Year from Gulf Business Magazine, Great Place to Work as well as tourism wide recognition, including Time Magazine\xe2\x80\x99s World\'s Greatest Places of 2022, and CNN Travel\xe2\x80\x99s Best Destinations to Visit in 2023.

Responsibility \xe2\x80\x93

• Responsible for establishing & implementing strategic development & enhancements for markets associated with assigned regions.
• Will be responsible to maintain productive relationships with key travel industry players and overseas operators & DMCs mainly Chinese speaking markets.
• Act as a representative for assigned market and will be responsible for managing all meetings and calls with relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with destination stakeholders, including hotels, attractions and other government entities and organize community \xe2\x80\x98townhall\xe2\x80\x99 gatherings, inclusive of venue set up, invitations and follow-ups!
• Works closely with colleagues\xe2\x80\x99 hotels and attractions in order to drive tourism development and to ensure that tourism businesses within Ras Al Khaimah are China \xe2\x80\x98ready\xe2\x80\x99.
• With your hotel working experience & track of leisure sales manager exposure you will be seen as someone with a capacity to negotiate and establish contract and special offer, someone to manage tour operator intranets.
• Liaising closely with colleagues within the business development and marketing team, destinations hotels and travel related entities in order to exchange information and increase opportunities of business development.
• Reinforce and develop standard operating procedures and processes for the seamless functioning of the Destination Tourism Development & necessary support for MICE.
• Conduct events and roadshows and maintain all activities with accurate logs and reference for future events.
• Actively establishing maintaining productive relationships with area travel key industry players and overseas operators in assigned territories.
• Hosting and accompanying FAM trips, assisting PR/Marketing team with Press Trips ensuring the destination is represented in a correct and respectable way. Create and consistently track and maintain a database of all in-coming trade fames for easy reference.
• Work on suggesting creative incentive plans as needed to the management based on country strengths.
• Oversee and drive all department related reports and presentations, including but not limited to, international events, stakeholder updates, progress reports, etc\xe2\x80\xa6
• Oversee department budget with identification and monitoring of variances.
• Liaising with colleagues within Destination Marketing & Communications department for all related marketing and PR materials
• Liaise with PR team for any official correspondence and announcements on behalf of RAKTDA
• Assist VP of Tourism Development in projects and people management assignments, as and when assigned

Job Requirements \xef\x82\xa7 6-8 years of sales & trade marketing experience required. \xef\x82\xa7 2-3-year experience in Destination promotion, Hospitality, DMC, Tour Operators or tourism industry is highly preferred

Qualification Bachelor\'s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality and/or tourism experience background.
