Our team is looking for the right candidate to create detailed drawings and documentation for use in the manufacturing of custom , aluminum, and fabrications and engineering documentation for project designs. The candidate will work collaboratively with Project Management, Engineering, and Sales and will be responsible for shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings. The Candidate should be able to follow job-specific instructions, comprehend specifications, and determine the correct drafting template setup to achieve the desired final product. Candidate should be exceptionally proficient in reading and understanding sketches and general design documents to create "a blueprint that details fabrication tolerances. Requirements: Candidate must have an associate degree in computer Aided Drafting or 5 years or more of Full Time Employment in AutoCAD experience in the Glass, Glazing, or Curtainwall Industry.
- Computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, etc.).
- Strong AutoCAD/shop drawing skills in 2D (3D and Revit a plus).
- Familiarity with engineering requirements in curtainwall systems.
- Proficient in math skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand Architectural and Structural drawings.
- Candidate must have a working knowledge of CAD standards, drafting/engineering practices and methods, and PC application software.
- Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the current version of AutoCAD.
- Candidate will be proficient in PDF editing and the use of Excel and Word software, and be very proficient in file directory structure navigation.
- Candidate will be detail-oriented, a goal setter & achiever, and highly interested in success in the business environment.
- Candidate must be conversationally fluent in the English language both in writing and verbally.
- Develop fabrication drawings for the shop workers\xe2\x80\x99 use in fabrication and assembly.
- Develop assembly drawings on unitized systems for use in unit frame assembly and glazing by customers.
- Draw floor plans, elevations, and details per the company\xe2\x80\x99s drafting and product standards.
- Review post-award new or revised architectural and/or structural drawings for scope changes.
- Ascertain/monitor that the shop drawings are prepared for aluminum Shop Drawings (Elevation, plan, section, and details) & service drawings for any Aluminium, Glazing, Skylights, -curtainwalls, all kinds of aluminum doors & windows (slide & fix, hinged, bottom hung & top hung, tilt & turn, louver doors & windows, Automatic Sliding Door, pool ladders, handrails, etc. all with thermal & non-thermal break systems, cladding works as per - B.O.Q. and According with approved structural \xe2\x80\x93calculation.
- Coordinate product analysis with the company\xe2\x80\x99s engineering and sales personnel.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to create new and modify existing drawings.
- Work on a communicated deadline/schedule to allow other departments to submit the drawings to our customers and move forward with procurement and construction
- Ability to perform tasks, which are both meticulous and detail-oriented
- Prepare Die Drawings for Die Fabrication and coordinate with extruders to detail the changes.
- Prepare Technical Catalogues and drawings based on given specifications and calculations for material and material submittals/samples for approval as per system design and project requirements.
- Arrange and ensure fabrication drawings and cutting lists are prepared on a given time as per the site measurements and release duly attested copies to the Production and Quality departments.
- Provide Supervision for draughtsman and Verify drawings, details and specifications and confirm with attestation before releasing to other departments.
- Coordinate with a Material planner, Procurement, Quality, Production and Installation departments and assist to provide necessary material specifications and confirm the same before releasing purchase orders.
- Participates in the communication of project progress and results by conducting weekly site visits and meetings with project managers, solving any issues, and providing feedback to the division manager.
- Maintain files for all correspondence and documentation produced during the period of the project.
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
