Main Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Performing structural analysis and engaging in the design of steel and/or transportation structures for both new construction and rehabilitation \xc2\xb7 Preparing technical/design reports and calculations packages \xc2\xb7 Preparing construction drawings and specifications \xc2\xb7 Attending design meetings and site inspections with our clients, subconsultants, and partners on an as- needed basis \xc2\xb7 Interacting and collaborating with our in-house drafters and other engineers \xc2\xb7 Designing various structures and producing contract documents for various building types, retaining walls, foundations, and wastewater treatment plant \xc2\xb7 Communicates with other departments to ensure all documentation required is contained within the tender submission. \xc2\xb7 Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements; setting priorities. \xc2\xb7 Prepares construction budget by studying plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation. \xc2\xb7 Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements. \xc2\xb7 Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price. \xc2\xb7 Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information. \xc2\xb7 Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. \xc2\xb7 Prepares draft tender documents to ensure all systems and components of the tender are included \xc2\xb7 Interprets & review system drawings to identify any difference to tender requirements and raise queries against specification. \xc2\xb7 Construes and follow company tendering processes and procedures to ensure all aspects of tenders are met including relevant discipline codes and standards. \xc2\xb7 Reviews the design outputs for compliance with contractual requirement. \xc2\xb7 Gathers opinion of the project team and fabrication team on the engineering details to prepare final controlled documents of tender \xc2\xb7 Assess the impact due to design changes and revision works due to client instructions. \xc2\xb7 Ensures the project output meeting to the requirement of codes and specifications. \xc2\xb7 Would be responsible for the filling of various tenders with all the formalities. \xc2\xb7 Maintains quality service by following organization standards. \xc2\xb7 Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. \xc2\xb7 Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. \xc2\xb7 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Essential characteristics: \xc2\xb7 10+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer in a fabrication environment \xc2\xb7 Bachelor/Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering \xc2\xb7 Proficient in Revit AutoCAD RAM Structural System and Microsoft Office Suite \xc2\xb7 Experience in Risa 2D, Risa 3D, SAP 2000 Additional Desired Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 S.E. preferred but not required \xc2\xb7 10+ years of experience in the structural analysis and design of structural projects preferred \xc2\xb7 Experience in ETABS, is preferred but not required Personal Attributes \xc2\xb7 Able to work under pressure to achieve agreed deadlines \xc2\xb7 Good verbal and written communication skills \xc2\xb7 Ingenuity to unscramble the specifications \xc2\xb7 Positive \xe2\x80\x98can-do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude \xc2\xb7 Be dignified and modest in explaining his work and the merits \xc2\xb7 Perform service only in the area of his competence and accept the limitations \xc2\xb7 Willingness to learn and scrupulous in work with professional ethics \xc2\xb7 Presence of mind and common sense Job Type: Full-time Ability to commute/relocate:
