About the role
We are looking to appoint an experienced Design and Technology Technician with immediate effect.
This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who has vast experience as a DT Technician within a school and is looking to utilize and share their knowledge within a newly development department. As a full time DT Technician, the school will expect you to essentially perform as if you were a permanent member of staff. You will be expected to carry out the following duties:

As a full time DT Technician, the school will expect you to essentially perform as if you were a permanent member of staff. You will be expected to carry out the following duties:
- Setting up practical lessons
- Assisting in demonstrating practical lessons
- Providing support to Teacher and Students
- Maintaining Equipment within the classroom
- Ensuring health and safety is being adhered to at all times
- Purchasing kit/equipment
- Ensuring practical work areas are safe and hazard free
- Training teachers and students when required
- To be proficient in the use of the range of CAM equipment and provide technical support during and outside of lesson time
- To be proficient in a range of CAD software and provide technical support during and outside of lesson time
