Position Summary

The Design Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for leading and delivering infrastructure design projects within a consultant design office environment. The role covers planning, designing, and reviewing infrastructure systems including

roads, utilities, stormwater, TSE irrigation, and related civil works

, ensuring compliance with Qatar authority requirements (Ashghal, Kahramaa, MoECC, etc.) and international standards. The engineer will play a key role in authority submissions, project approvals, and multidisciplinary design coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and review of infrastructure works including: Roads and highways (geometric design, pavement, and drainage integration). Wet and dry utilities (surface water, TSE irrigation, potable/foul water, power, telecom). Earthworks, grading, and site development. Prepare concept, preliminary, and detailed design reports, drawings, and technical specifications. Develop design packages, BOQs, and tender documents as per client and authority requirements. Perform design checks, calculations, and ensure compliance with Ashghal Design Manuals, QCS, and international codes. Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (roads, utilities, structures, geotechnical, mechanical, and electrical). Liaise with authorities (Ashghal, Kahramaa, municipalities, MoECC, telecom providers) for approvals and NOCs. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and CAD teams. Support project managers in delivery of infrastructure design packages within schedule and budget. Participate in design review meetings, value engineering sessions, and client presentations. Provide technical support during tendering and respond to authority or contractor clarifications.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).

years of professional experience

in infrastructure design Proven experience in

roads, wet & dry utilities, surface water drainage, and TSE irrigation networks

. Strong knowledge of

Ashghal standards, Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), and infrastructure design manuals

. Proficiency in design and modeling software: Civil 3D, InRoads, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, EPANET, InfoWorks, MicroDrainage.
