Overview of the role:

The incumbent supervises multiple solar PV projects, through subcontractors and in-house teams & ensures the best industry practices are followed while getting the solar installations (both design & development) commissioned, in line with local government standards.

What you will do:-

Description of Accountability:

• Preparation of Technical design, Tenders submittal & BOQ, for off grid & On grid solar system.
• Attending design/concept/Coordination meetings with clients to help interpret their needs
• Obtaining legal authorizations and permits for the project construction and exploitation.
• Contacting, obtain approvals from authorities (DEWA, DM, ADWEA, RSB etc)
• Responsible for contracting and supervision of Solar EPC contractors for multiple solar projects
• Vendor Development, offers and costs comparative study, negotiating and contracting subcontractor
• Conduct site visits / surveys, feasibility studies, detailed engineering survey & Trouble shooting at power plants.
• Preparation of constructional drawings, shop drawings, & as built drawings for projects
• Preparation of Single Line diagram, PV Layout, PV SYST for simulation
• Elaborating time schedule Contract and warranty claim, contract amendments.
• Logistics management, procuring material, custom clearance and equipment, logistic and delivery to site, etc

Required Skills to be successful:

• Project Management skills for design and built solutions from start to handover of the project.
• Knowledge on Project Management software like Primavera and MS Projects will be added advantage.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint is a necessity.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is required along with other softwares like Google sketchup, Helioscope. Prepare shadow analysis and cost of ownership calculations.

What equips you for the role:

• Engineering diploma (Degree Preferred) 4 year Graduate Electrical Engineering Degree from any recognized institute. A degree in renewable energy will be preferred.
• 4-6 years\' experience in solar grid connected systems and should have handled 2 solar projects from start to completion under Shams initiative program of DEWA.
• Should be very much familiar with step by step procedure, standard and regulations of DM and DEWA for solar system installation & commissioning.
