Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Design & Estimation Engineer

with expertise in

Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting Systems

. The candidate will be responsible for preparing technical designs, cost estimates, and tender documentation to support business development and project execution.

Design:

Prepare detailed engineering designs for

fire alarm

and

fire suppression

systems as per NFPA, local civil defense, and international standards. Conduct site surveys to gather required information for system design. Create CAD drawings, schematic layouts, and riser diagrams. Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler systems and pressure loss analysis. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to obtain design approvals.

Estimation:

Review project specifications, BOQs, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates. Quantify materials, equipment, and labor requirements. Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and vendors. Prepare technical and commercial proposals for tenders. Conduct value engineering and cost optimization.

Documentation & Coordination:

Prepare compliance statements, technical submittals, and tender clarifications. Support procurement and execution teams with technical input during the project lifecycle. Ensure design documentation meets local fire authority (e.g., Civil Defense) regulations. Participate in project and design review meetings.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum

3-5 years

experience in Fire Alarm & Fire Fighting system design and estimation. Familiar

Local Civil Defense

codes and regulations. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

,

Revit (preferred)

,

Hydraulic calculation software (e.g., Elite Fire, HASS)

. Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems (e.g., addressable & conventional) and fire suppression systems (e.g., sprinklers, FM200, CO2, water mist).
