Design Engineer
Job Description
Prepare detailed electrical design and general arrangement drawings for LV switchgear panels, MDBs, SMDBs, MCCs, and control panels.
Review project specifications, single line diagrams (SLDs), and load schedules.
Coordinate with estimation, production, and QA/QC teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
Prepare material lists, component selections, and BOQs as per design requirements.
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards (e.g., IEC, DEWA, SEWA, ADDC).
Support the project and sales teams in technical discussions with clients and consultants.
Update drawings and documents as per client or site modification requirements.
Maintain records of revisions, approvals, and design files for documentation control.
Assist in product development and standardization initiatives for switchgear systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Experience:
Minimum 2-4 years in LV Switchgear Design within the UAE or GCC.Technical Proficiency:
AutoCAD Electrical and MS Office Suite. Knowledge of switchgear components (ABB, Schneider, Siemens, LS, etc.). Familiar with IEC standards and local authority regulations (DEWA, SEWA, ADDC).Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. Knowledge in Dewa, Fewa, Sewa, Abu Dhabi authorities' regulationsJob Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
