Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Design Engineer / Industrial Engineer with expertise in fire truck design and industrial manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing fire trucks to meet functional, performance, and regulatory requirements. This includes integrating mechanical systems, electrical layouts, body structures, and firefighting equipment while ensuring manufacturability and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

o Design fire trucks and emergency response vehicles from concept to production.

o Develop 2D and 3D CAD models using software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.

o Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for fabrication and assembly.

o Integrate firefighting systems, water pumps, tanks, hose reels, ladders, and specialized tools.

Engineering and Industrial Process:

o Analyze design solutions for manufacturability, ergonomics, and performance.

o Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible for fabrication and assembly.

o Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.

o Plan and improve production processes for efficiency and quality.

Compliance and Quality:

o Ensure all designs comply with international fire truck standards (NFPA, EN, GCC standards).

o Conduct FMEA, DFM/DFA analyses to ensure safety and reliability.

o Work with the QA/QC department to ensure production output meets design specifications.

Project Coordination:

o Support cross-functional teams including procurement, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulics.

o Provide technical support during prototyping, testing, and commissioning phases.

o Coordinate with clients to gather requirements and implement customizations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 4-6 years of experience in fire truck design or special vehicle manufacturing.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent).

Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems integration.

Experience with BOM preparation, fabrication drawings, and P&ID schematics.

Familiarity with NFPA or EN fire truck standards is a must.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills (Optional but Advantageous):

Experience in 3D modeling software like Siemens NX or PTC Creo.

Knowledge of fire suppression systems and rescue equipment.

Previous experience in ambulance or armored vehicle design.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
