At Arbitrary Product Design Services LLC, we create tangible innovations that span across product development, bespoke fabrication, and large-scale installations. Our work is rooted in experimental design, rapid prototyping, and a deep collaboration between engineering and artistry. We thrive in ambiguity and build solutions from concept to completion using both analog craftsmanship and cutting-edge digital tools. We are looking for a passionate team member who can match our energy, curiosity, and commitment to exceptional execution.
who can independently manage projects from ideation to fabrication. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design and prototyping, experience in handling client-driven projects, and the ability to integrate electronics and automation into physical products.
You'll be working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment where cross-disciplinary thinking is celebrated, and execution is everything. You must be comfortable owning the end-to-end product development process--designing, prototyping, troubleshooting, and liaising with both clients and fabricators.
What We're Looking For:
Someone who is
both creative and analytical
, and thrives on solving real-world design challenges.
A self-starter who takes initiative and makes smart decisions under pressure.
Detail-oriented with a passion for
functional design
, fabrication, and hands-on prototyping.
Comfortable in a
multi-disciplinary role
--mechanical design, CAD modeling, electronics, coding, and client interfacing.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical details to clients, fabricators, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support projects across concept development, mechanical design, prototyping, and final fabrication.
Generate detailed
2D/3D CAD drawings
and documentation using tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360.
Collaborate with internal designers, fabricators, and suppliers to develop manufacturable solutions.
Create assembly instructions and fabrication drawings for both in-house prototyping and vendor production.
Interface with clients for requirement gathering, updates, feedback, and approvals.
Build physical prototypes using 3D printing, CNC, laser cutting, and traditional methods.
Integrate
electronics and automation
, including basic programming for Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms.
Monitor project timelines and ensure timely delivery within budget and scope.
Identify and troubleshoot design, fabrication, and implementation challenges.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Product Design, or a related field (preferred).
3+ years of experience in product development, preferably in a consultancy, startup, or interdisciplinary design studio.
Proficiency in CAD software:
SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD
(must know both 2D & 3D).
Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or vector-based drawing tools (preferred for presentation and fabrication documents).
Working knowledge of microcontroller programming (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and basic electronics.
Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and clients.
Understanding of various materials, fabrication techniques, and manufacturing processes.
Comfortable working independently, with minimal supervision.
Good command of English and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
UAE driving license (preferred but not mandatory).
Why Join Us?
Work on
cutting-edge, unconventional projects
across industries--from interactive installations to bespoke products.
Be part of a growing design-driven team with a collaborative and creative work culture.
Access to a well-equipped prototyping lab with 3D printers, CNC machines, and more.
Opportunities for learning, experimentation, and creative growth.
