The Role
The Design Department Assistant will collaborate closely with the Creative Director. To assist producing customer presentations, marketing materials and perform ad hoc tasks in the department. The role requires a strong artistic sense, creativity, and proficiency in graphic design software. Main Duties and Responsibilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop illustrations and graphics that effectively communicate the desired message of the customers brand identity. \xe2\x80\xa2 Work together as a team to brainstorm and conceptualize ideas. Use a variety of techniques and mediums to achieve desired visual effects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Produce presentations for customers showcasing garment design. \xe2\x80\xa2 Create and design layouts for print and digital materials, such as brochures, social media graphics, and website content. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure designs are consistent with brand guidelines and standards. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work within deadlines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Stay updated on design trends and industry best practices. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of designs. Other Duties \xe2\x80\xa2 Any other general ad hoc duties necessary to assist the smooth and efficient running of the business through the Creative Director. Financial \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist with cost saving initiatives enabling cost savings for the business. Performance \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in any relevant fashion shows and events. \xe2\x80\xa2 Aptitude in sound decision-making and problem-solving in pressure situations. Compliance \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintaining Health & Safety Standards in accordance with Municipality, Civil Defence, and industry best practice with the wider company. \xe2\x80\xa2 Comply with legislation and business policies, processes, and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety, and privacy. \xe2\x80\xa2 Take care of your own health and safety, and that of others, follow any reasonable instruction given by the business, and report any concern(s) which may give rise to danger, and/or any injury which may occur in the workplace. \xe2\x80\xa2 Dept. Organisation Structure/ Reporting lines \xe2\x80\xa2 Reports to the Creative Director. \xe2\x80\xa2 Person Specification \xe2\x80\xa2 Relevant bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in graphic design or Fashion Design. \xe2\x80\xa2 3+ yrs. relevant experience. \xe2\x80\xa2 Mac and Microsoft 365 PC literate with competency in the following software illustration, graphic design software, Adobe Illustrator Suite, Photoshop, PDF Editor, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat. Video editing skills and 3D experience is also beneficial. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to listen and understand direction from the Creative Director. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong artistic skills and creativity. Diligence and ability to work in a challenging environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Enthusiastic about your work with an eye for detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritise work to achieve outcomes within required deadlines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), enabling effective interaction with internal and external customers using diplomacy, discretion and tact as required in a professional work environment. \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrated ability to portray a welcoming atmosphere, friendly disposition, and helpful nature. \xe2\x80\xa2 Sophisticated, analytical, Initiative-taker, critical thinking skills and logically minded. \xe2\x80\xa2 Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, in an effective and flexible manner.

Requirements

Develop relationships, build trust with clients, understand customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs and provide tailored solutions. \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with the Middle East preferred.
