Job Summary:

The MEP Design Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design aspects of construction projects. This role involves ensuring that the MEP systems are effectively integrated with architectural and structural elements, comply with all relevant codes and regulations, and meet the client's requirements. The coordinator acts as a liaison between consultants, contractors, and the internal project team.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and coordinate all MEP design drawings, specifications, and schedules with architectural and structural plans. Ensure MEP designs comply with consultant's specifications, authority regulations, and sustainability standards. Coordinate with MEP consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to resolve design discrepancies. Manage and track design deliverables and submittals throughout design and construction phases. Attend design coordination meetings and lead MEP-related discussions. Provide technical input during pre-construction and construction stages. Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection processes. Ensure timely resolution of Requests for Information (RFIs) and design-related issues. Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality, project specs or code compliance. Review material submittals for design compliance and support procurement activities. Assist in preparing as-built drawings and O&M manuals in coordination with the construction team.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in MEP design coordination on large-scale construction projects. Working Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), Navisworks, and MS Office Suite is mandatory. Strong understanding of building services, construction processes, and coordination practices. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED17,000.00 per month
