As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will work closely with our experienced culinary team to ensure the highest standards of food preparation, quality, and presentation. Responsibilities: - Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing, cooking, and plating various dishes, with a specific focus on ramen and yakitori. - Ensure that all food items are prepared according to the restaurant\'s recipes, portion control guidelines, and quality standards. - Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations. - Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials that showcase the essence of Japanese cuisine. - Take inventory of ingredients, notify the senior chefs of any shortages, and assist in the procurement process. - Participate in regular training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques. - Follow all kitchen procedures, including recipe adherence, cooking techniques, and plating guidelines. - Monitor food presentation to ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant\'s visual and quality standards. - Support the overall kitchen operations, including food preparation, storage, and maintenance of kitchen equipment. - Foster a positive and professional working environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication among the culinary staff. Requirements: - Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar role in a Japanese restaurant or culinary establishment, preferably with a focus on ramen and yakitori (Mandatory 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience). - Profound knowledge of Japanese cuisine, including traditional cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and ingredients. - Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines without compromising the quality of food. - Strong attention to detail, ensuring precise portioning, seasoning, and plating of dishes. - Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment. - Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations. - A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continuously learn and grow within the culinary field. - Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant\'s operation.
