We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi chef de partie specializing in Asian cuisine to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will work under the supervision of the Chef de Partie to ensure the highest quality of Asian dishes are prepared and presented to our guests.
Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of Asian dishes, maintaining consistency and quality standards
Collaborate with the Chef de Partie to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed at all times
Manage your station efficiently, including mise en place and timely execution of dishes during service
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in Asian cuisine techniques and recipes
Assist in inventory management and ordering of ingredients specific to Asian cuisine
Contribute to menu planning and seasonal dish development
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Adapt to fast-paced situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Qualifications
Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Demi chef de partie or in a similar role
Proven experience in high-volume or fine dining restaurants
Extensive knowledge and proficiency in Asian cuisine preparation techniques
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, with current food safety certification
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen equipment
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-pressure environment
Strong time management and multitasking abilities
Creativity and passion for developing innovative Asian dishes
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment
Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
