Position Overview

The Demand & Supply Chain Planner will lead the planning process from end-to-end including Demand Forecasting, Inventory Planning, and Sourcing. He/she is responsible for ensuring optimal stock availability across distribution channels to provide a positive customer experience and maximize sales opportunities:

MISSION

The Demand & Supply Chain Planner will lead the planning process from end-to-end including Demand Forecasting, Inventory Planning, and Sourcing. He/she is responsible for ensuring optimal stock availability across distribution channels to provide a positive customer experience and maximize sales opportunities.

KEY TASKS

Demand Planning
Implement demand planning processes. (i.e., Demand Reviews, Supply Chain Risk Analysis).
Identify and communicate approved short-term demand changes.
Review historical sales trends, research different demand drivers and assumptions and define statistical forecast models.
Maintain a constant relationship with the sales, marketing, finance, and production teams to understand the demand forecasting drivers.
Forecasting
Schedule periodic forecast review meetings with country GMs, reviewing variances to demand plan and recommended adjustments that align to commercial targets.
Analyze sales forecast accuracy with root causes and plan appropriate actions and Work with the New Product Development team to forecast sales of new products.
Set up collaboration process with involved teams and Develop Standard Operating Procedures for the sales forecasting processes. (Lead initiatives to improve forecast accuracy).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date market forecast data on ERP system. Short-term and long-term changes to be updated on time to avoid discrepancy in production plan.
Monthly review of inventory and provide recommendations to team on action plans to reduce product inventory that may expire if not sold.
Supply Chain Planning
Responsible for the material requirement plan, work out and release the materials requirement to purchasing team.
Work with Procurement team to ensure the materials delivery OTIF.
Monitoring delivery schedule and PO for MTO.
New Products Launching
Subject matter expert on new product launches for operational forecasts. Work with local GM to coordinate new product forecasts and to overcome challenges where needed.
Coordinate with PRO for new product registration (labelling, packaging and costing) process in line with the local legislations.
Lead Samples Request process for organization, assuring product sample requests are accounted for in the forecasts.
Member of Costing Review team to discuss pricing adjustments as it relates to demand.
Production Planning
In charge of production plan (monthly, weekly, and daily), including detail production schedule, capacity analysis, short/long term plan, and resources optimization.
Monitoring, updating, and following up status of RM/PM and daily production output to adjust production plan accordingly.
Coordinating with Procurement, Sales, Production and WH to ensure that production runs fluently
JOB REQUIREMENT
Bachelor Degree in a Business Administration, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing industry.
Excellent English communications skills, Arabic is a plus.
