Position: Deli Counter Assistant for our Bazaar Gourmet Supermarket in JVC
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Deli Counter Assistant to join our team. This role involves preparing, slicing, weighing, packaging, and displaying deli products, while providing excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers promptly and courteously.
Prepare and serve deli items such as meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches.
Slice, weigh, and package deli products to customer specifications.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli counter and equipment.
Monitor product freshness and quality; rotate stock and manage expiration dates.
Handle customer inquiries and provide knowledgeable suggestions.
Follow proper food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Operate deli equipment such as slicers, scales, and ovens safely.
Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a deli, food service, or retail environment preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring portions.
Familiarity with food hygiene and safety regulations (training may be provided).
Team player with a positive and reliable attitude.
