Job Description

Mise en Place & Cooking

: Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.

Station Management

: Oversee a designated kitchen section (e.g., grill, saute, pastry), ensuring smooth operations and timely service.

Hygiene & Safety

: Maintain cleanliness and adhere to health and safety regulations, including HACCP standards.

Inventory Control

: Monitor stock levels, assist in ordering supplies, and minimize food waste.

Training & Supervision

: Guide and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes and techniques.

Collaboration

: Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate timing and execution of dishes during service periods.

Job Requirement

Experience

: Typically, 2-3 years in a similar role within a high-volume, 5-star hotel or restaurant setting.

Education

: A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management is preferred.

Technical Skills

: Proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods.

Language Skills

: Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.

Personal Attributes

: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
