Job Description

Detailed skill Requirements Responsible for supporting the public cloud migration strategy and implementation of End-of-Life databases across the legacy technology stack including Oracle and Microsoft SQL to our Public Cloud (AWS/AZURE/GCP) tenancy. Extensive hands-on experience with database modernization and cloud migrations. Responsibilities:

• Unix/Linux general administration skills and/or bash/python/powershell scripting
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Apply data modelling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
• Develop processes for optimizing database security.
• Manage database security and access.
• Junior and Mid-Level experience required
• Performance tuning of database systems.
• Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
• Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
• Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
• Create automation for repeating database tasks

Essential Skills:

• Deploying and migrating databases into Public Cloud (AWS/AZURE/GCP) (ec2 or RDS).
• Highly proficient in one or more of these RDBMS technologies: MS SQL Server. PUBLIC CLOUD (PUBLIC CLOUD (AWS/AZURE/GCP) RDS/Aurora (mySQL), PostgreSQL or Oracle
• Working knowledge of one or more database high availability scenarios such as Public Cloud (AWS/AZURE/GCP) Multi-AZ DB deployments
