Job Description

This role focuses on

understanding business processes, gathering and translating requirements, and defining data needs

to ensure that the data warehouse delivers trusted, actionable insights aligned with strategic objectives.


The DWH Business Analyst will work closely with product owners, data engineers, solution architects, and reporting teams to

capture business requirements, design data models, define KPIs and reporting metrics, and prioritize features that maximize business value

. The role is pivotal in ensuring that

data definitions, lineage, and quality standards are embedded into the data lifecycle

and that all reporting aligns to a single source of truth.


Beyond documentation and requirement gathering, the DWH Business Analyst will

facilitate cross-functional collaboration

support data governance initiatives

champion data literacy across business units

, enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions with confidence.

EXPERIENCE

1.5-8 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst in Data Warehouse (DWH), BI, or Analytics environments.


2.Demonstrated experience in gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications for DWH and reporting solutions.


3.Hands-on experience working with enterprise data warehouse projects involving data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas), ETL pipelines, and reporting layers.


4.Prior experience in projects using cloud-based data platforms, preferably Azure (Synapse, ADLS, Databricks, Purview, Power BI).


5.Proven success in managing stakeholder expectations and collaborating with cross-functional teams (business users, data engineers, BI developers, architects).


6.Experience with data quality assessments, reconciliation, and UAT processes for large-scale reporting or migration projects.


7.Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and experience using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.


8.Previous involvement in data governance initiatives, including metadata management, lineage tracking, and KPI standardization.


9.Exposure to retail, foods, taxi, proprieties business is an added advantage.
