About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Migration Lead for our ERP transformation program, for a 2 year contract. This role is for the retail domain, and you will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and executing complex data migration from Oracle Retail ERP to SAP S4/HANA. Your role entails close collaboration with Solutions Architect and techno-functional team to conceptualize and implement data migration strategies, as well as business data owners who will oversee the data cleansing and validation. On a day-to-day basis interact with cross-functional teams, IT Business partners, Integration architect, Business stakeholders, System Implementors and technical experts from vendors to ensure the seamless transfer of data from legacy on premise systems (Oracle Retail Version 14.2, incl. merchandising, pricing, POS, Warehouse Management) to SAP S/4Hana. Your expertise stands as a linchpin in upholding data integrity and empowering data-driven decision-making within our retail ecosystem.

What You'll Be Doing Collaborate with the Business Data owners, Solutions architect, Product owners, Data architect, Integration architect and other key stakeholders to define and execute data migration strategies that is aligned with ERP implementation and minimize disruption to retail operations. Delivery of the Data migration activities for the ERP transformation program on time, within budget and quality. Drive the focus on delivery of migration with vanilla system and processes using appropriate tools and technologies to streamline the data transformation into the ERP system. Data Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of existing retail data sources which will be migrated to the cloud ERP modules, define quality of the data, and chalk out dependencies to identify potential challenges and define opportunities for improvement. Work with cross functional teams to identify data challenges and provide effective solution to address the data issues or provide transformation logic to migrate data successfully to other systems. Data Migration Planning: Work with solutions architect to develop comprehensive data migration project plan to support the ERP implementation program. Coordinate resource allocation with the vendor to develop migration approach and scripts which can extract data from production without greatly impacting the production system performance. Maintain risk register and assess them with mitigation plan. Data Mapping: Work with cross-functional teams and integration architect to create and maintain detailed data mapping documents that define the relationships between data elements in source and target systems. Data migration lead will ensure the effectiveness of data accuracy, data consistency, compliance, and efficiency of the data migration exercise. Data Extraction and Transformation: Oversee data extraction, cleansing, and transformation processes tools and techniques, to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate data governance standards. Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation procedures to ensure the accuracy and completeness of migrated data. Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data migration processes, methodologies, and configurations for reference and audit purposes. Create detailed documentation that outlines every step of the data migration process. This documentation should provide a clear and organized roadmap of the entire process of ERP migration to cloud, from the initial planning stages to the final data validation and migration. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with solution architect, IT business partners, business stakeholders and project teams to provide updates on data migration progress and address any concerns. Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve data migration issues promptly, collaborating with technical teams to implement effective solutions. Performance Monitoring: Monitor data migration performance and conduct post-migration validation to ensure that migrated data meets business requirements. Managing Performance Directing, motivating, and developing your team, technical resource, and vendor resources. Stakeholder engagement and management across impacted stakeholders and contributing vendors. Support the appointment of individuals to project teams. Assume responsibility for the program's people and vendors delivery and manage performance issues. Self-Management Manage self in line with the organization's HR policies, procedures, processes, and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise employee contribution to business performance.

About You Education: University degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience: · 12-15 years of experience working in retail domain handling migration of data across systems. · Experience in SAP S/4 Hana implementation and/or Oracle Retail will be preferable. · Should be skilled in various tools and technologies to extract and transform the data from Oracle Retail database to target SAP templates and data formats. · Should have minimum one full migration experience. · Experience in retail industry with strong understanding of retail functionalities in organisations is an advantage. Other requirements: · In-depth knowledge of data migration tools, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data modelling. · Strong understanding of data governance principles and data quality management. · Experience with data migration from legacy systems to modern platforms, including cloud-based solutions. · Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages. · Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. · Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. · Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. · Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional, Project Management Professional) are a plus. · Strong verbal and written communication, especially in the areas of teamwork, stakeholder management, and ability to influence; ability to facilitate dynamic meetings and discussions. · Outstanding leadership and organisational skills. · English language.
