About The Role

We are looking for an Operations Planner who is responsible in supporting the Operations Planning manager with building/executing and monitoring "fit for purpose" planning processes to support a growing Omni Channel business. The role encompasses responsibility for planning data governance, pricing, promotions, analytics and all planning projects touch points.

What You'll Be Doing

· In this 2 year contract you will be working closely with the Audit and Planning team to deliver annual findings. · Support with driving automation and transformation across the planning function to reduce the reliance on excel manual steps. · Support with the implementation of the pricing tool to better serve with reporting pricing variations. · Responsible for promotion and pricing accuracy across all key ATI locations and that all required process steps are carried out in line with governance. · Ensure Keeping the Merchandise hierarchy and buying sheets up to date and consistent for upcoming buying seasons, and governance over Master Data accuracy. · Driving operational efficiencies through listening groups, feedback sessions. · Taking a leading role in reviewing all process which impact financial performance of Sales and Sellthru. · Leading the management and maintenance of the promotional calendar to align with other functions and the planning team. · Support the Planning function on delivery of annual Budget/Forecast execution. · Align with key stakeholders on Business priorities and strategic actions to develop the planning processes which align to the business strategy, using data-driven inputs from sales trends, customer analytics, market conditions and supplier demands to put in place processes that support business growth. · Support with the development and execution of the planning projects and across retail, distribution and digital. · Work collaboratively with the IT and business excellence functions to understand risk, audit enhancements and priorities to ensure the governance and smooth execution of planning operations. · Partner with buying and be involved in the strategic direction for all Pricing Activities covering Sale/Promotions/Full Price/Indexing impacts in order to drive profitable sales and value to the customer. · Work closely with finance and IT team to determine vendor funded promotion management execution, monitoring and compliance. · Fully understand the distribution model end to end and understand what processes, systems need to be enhanced to support this part of the business and how to integrate into the overall ATI view. · Support the Operations Manager in leading the review and development of all planning reporting and how to best centralize across the planning function. · Lead the development and improvement of merchandise management policies, procedures and systems in line with relevant governance controls and oversight principles. · Support in the annual sales and budget planning cycles quality system check for all of ATI. · Provide support to the planning teams in timely and system creation of merchandise budgets, forecasts and open-to-buy (OTB) plans in line with agreed financial, sales and profit margin expectations. · Monitor and review pricing and promotion performance for brands and product categories and recommend necessary interventions in receipt allocation in case of deviations. · To be a key player in managing all planning processes and governance across ATI. · Develop analytics that support process checks, mitigations and escalations. · Manage the analytical review process for retail and distribution businesses and brands for all promotional aspects, customer, vendor funding and pricing position. · Manage direct reports effectively by driving performance and addressing areas of improvement. · Balance workload priorities across division and departments to ensure successful execution of tasks. · Proactively support driving the critical thinking skillset of team. · Assess talent via performance evaluation and appraisal reports of direct reports to assess their productivity and progress and identify training needs of team members to improve efficiency and align with company standards and values. · Drive regular training sessions ahead of all process changes and make sure all pain points are captured and factored into issue resolution. Job Requirements

· A bachelor's degree is a requirement. · 5+ years of experience within a multi-channel retail organization, leading a team of planners, associate planners and assistant planners. · Previous experience in distribution & wholesale of brand products would be an advantage. · Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data. · Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results, proficiency in retail math. · Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions. · Effective in a variety of presentation settings including one-one, small and large groups, and with peers and bosses. · Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals. · Can identify and articulate the processes necessary to get things done efficiently and align resources effectively to complete activities. · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Planning systems and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly. · Anticipate risks and identifies contingency plans and processes to prevent disruptions when risks occur. · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead motivate and develop team members. · Product / brand orientation with strong knowledge of retail and distribution industries and benchmarks. · Advanced knowledge of merchandise planning, allocation, replenishment and financial planning systems, tools and reporting. · Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and delivering results, whilst focusing on continuous improvement. · Proven track record of building collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. · Ability to evaluate business opportunities and identify potential risks. · Proficient in the English language.
