GEMS School of Research and Innovation (SRI) seeks a professional, dynamic and highly organized General Secretary to support the administrative functions of the Vice Principals and HR Office at the GEMS School of Research and Innovation (SRI). This role is central to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school's academic and administrative offices.
GEMS School of Research and Innovation (SRI) is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Data Manager & Examinations Officer - Digital Ecosystem Lead to build and manage the digital infrastructure that supports academic excellence and personalised learning. This unique role sits at the intersection of education, data science, and digital transformation, supporting SRI's mission to deliver a cutting-edge, British curriculum-based learning experience powered by real-time insights and AI-enhanced systems.
As a founding member of our digital operations team, you will play a key role in developing SRI's integrated data ecosystem, managing regulatory compliance, and scaling the examinations framework as we expand into Key Stages 4 and 5.
Skills
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Ecosystem & Data Management

• Lead the design and implementation of the school's digital data ecosystem using iSAMS as the core MIS.
• Ensure accurate, secure, and consistent data flow across AI-integrated learning platforms, dashboards, and third-party tools.
• Collaborate with the Innovation, Technology, and Research (ITR) team to align student data pipelines with AI-powered feedback systems.
• Contribute to real-time dashboard development for SLT, enabling data-informed planning and academic interventions.

Information Governance & Compliance

• Maintain compliance with KHDA, DSIB, and UAE regulatory standards for data protection and usage.
• Apply GDPR-aligned data governance protocols, including secure access control and digital safeguarding measures.
• Ensure audit-readiness through robust documentation and system integrity.

Assessment & Academic Insight

• Oversee the technical coordination of GL assessments and other national testing platforms.
• Manage diagnostic and formative data collection, ensuring structured inputs for AI-driven personalised learning.
• Produce performance analytics, predictive insights, and tracking reports to support academic leadership.

Examinations Management (Scaling with KS4/5)

• Establish and manage all examination processes for IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level, and other future qualifications.
• Design digital-first workflows for exam logistics, including invigilation protocols, seating plans, clash management, and access arrangements.
• Ensure full compliance with international best practices in school examinations.

Staff Training & Data Literacy

• Deliver training to staff on the use of iSAMS, analytics tools, and reporting platforms.
• Promote a culture of data confidence, supporting teachers and leaders in integrating data into planning and communication.
• Provide ongoing support for improving school-wide data fluency.

Strategic Analytics & Innovation

• Act as a key contributor to SRI's Pioneer XP system, shaping the school's real-time academic dashboards and predictive models.
• Drive innovation in data usage by working closely with academic leads, tech teams, and partners such as GL Assessment and Microsoft.
• Support initiatives related to attendance monitoring, attainment profiling, and intervention strategies through advanced analytics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience managing data systems in a British or international school context.
• Demonstrated expertise in iSAMS and other MIS platforms, including integration via APIs and data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, or equivalent data visualisation tools.
• Strong understanding of UAE education regulations and assessment protocols.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights for non-specialist audiences.
• Experience working in AI-enhanced learning environments, school start-ups, or digital transformation projects is a strong advantage.
