Position Overview
Dicetek LLC is hiring a skilled Data Engineer for its Dubai operations to design and optimize scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong command over Python, Apache Airflow, SQL, and modern ETL/ELT frameworks. This role focuses on building robust data solutions that support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence for enterprise applications.

Core Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Airflow, Python, and SQL
• Design normalized and denormalized data models for analytical and transactional systems
• Optimize database performance across PostgreSQL and MySQL using indexing, partitioning, and caching
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to translate requirements into automated data workflows
• Enforce data quality, governance, and privacy policies across structured and semi-structured datasets
• Implement real-time monitoring and alerting for pipeline health, latency, and availability
• Build CI/CD pipelines for data deployment and testing using GitHub or GitLab integrations
• Document processes, workflows, and best practices to support data democratization across the organization
• Maintain infrastructure for data orchestration, scheduling tools, and disaster recovery readiness

Candidate Requirements

• Proven expertise in Python programming for data engineering
• Strong command of SQL, including writing complex queries and optimization
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and workflow orchestration
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT architecture, data modeling, and transformation logic
• Knowledge of data privacy and security protocols across cloud or on-prem data environments
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams in fast-paced, data-intensive environments
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
