Mark Williams is seeking a cybersecurity professional with deep technical expertise and strong governance capabilities to lead compliance, risk management, and change control across both cloud and on-premises environments. This role supports a prestigious Abu Dhabi government entity and is critical to ensuring the organization's security posture aligns with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and dynamic business needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development and enforcement of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls in line with regulatory frameworks
- Oversee security change management processes, including firewall rule reviews, access controls, and change requests
- Perform technical risk assessments and provide expert input on mitigation strategies
- Lead security reviews for new projects and provide go/no-go recommendations from a cybersecurity perspective
- Ensure continuous compliance through audits, policy updates, and control assessments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, legal, DevOps, and project managers to integrate security into systems and processes
- Maintain documentation for security implementations, ensuring transparency and traceability of controls
- Assess and validate cloud security, especially across Azure and Oracle Cloud platforms
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on compliance, governance, and technical security implementations
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, regulatory compliance, and change control processes
- Technical expertise in reviewing and implementing security controls, firewall rules, and cloud security best practices
- Proven experience in Azure; exposure to Oracle Cloud is a strong plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CCSP are highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and explain technical risks in business terms
