Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus, SIEM, DLP, and endpoint protection. Monitor security infrastructure and investigate security breaches or other cyber security incidents. Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cyber threats, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies. Participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning and execution. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). Support risk assessments and work closely with internal stakeholders to remediate risks. Provide technical guidance and training to IT staff and end-users regarding cybersecurity best practices. Assist in evaluating and selecting security products and services.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in cyber security engineering or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in security frameworks and protocols. Strong understanding of network security, encryption, authentication, and access control. Experience with security tools like Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus, Splunk, Snort, etc. Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with scripting or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).

Certifications (preferred):

CISSP, CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or similar.
