Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present sushi dishes including maki, nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls according to restaurant standards
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled with care
Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
Collaborate with the kitchen team and support chefs during service hours
Monitor inventory and inform management of any stock needs or shortages
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
Keep up to date with new sushi trends and techniques
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role
Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality presentation
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for Japanese cuisine
