Title: Customer Service Representative (Custom Cake Specialist)

Location: Al Jaddaf

Position Overview:

As a Customer Service Representative at Cake Away, you'll be the primary point of contact for customers seeking custom cakes via various channels, including social media platforms, emails, and phone calls. Your main responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, understand customers' unique cake requirements, and ensure seamless communication between customers and our cake designers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for baking, and the ability to handle multiple inquiries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage incoming inquiries from customers seeking custom cakes through social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), emails, and phone calls.

2. Engage with customers promptly and professionally, demonstrating empathy and understanding of their cake needs and preferences.

3. Gather detailed information from customers regarding their cake requirements, including design, flavor, dietary restrictions, and delivery preferences.

4. Collaborate closely with our cake designers to ensure accurate interpretation of customer requests and timely delivery of customized cake designs.

5. Provide customers with accurate pricing quotes and delivery timelines for custom cakes, adhering to company policies and procedures.

6. Handle customer inquiries and concerns efficiently, resolving issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

7. Maintain organized records of customer interactions and cake orders, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.

8. Stay updated on current cake designs, trends, and baking techniques to provide customers with informed recommendations and advice.

9. Coordinate with other departments, such as sales and production, to ensure smooth order processing and fulfillment.

10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer service experience and contribute to the overall success of the cake shop.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in customer service or a related field, preferably in a bakery or food service environment.

2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional demeanor.

3. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

4. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.

5. Passion for baking and creative cake design, with a basic understanding of cake ingredients, flavors, and decorating techniques.

6. Proficiency in using social media platforms and other communication channels for customer engagement.

7. Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed to accommodate customer inquiries and order deadlines.

8. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality, culinary arts, or customer service is a plus.
