- Any Graduate
- 1-3 years of experience as Custom/Clearance / Documentation controller with good working knowledge of government regulations and procedures regarding shipping and customs clearance.
- Must have knowledge of the customs clearance process and also the border charges and taxes for GCC regions.
- Must have knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- To ensure that clearance of all shipments into Oman and out of Oman are completed accurately and in a timely manner. To ensure prompt and timely delivery of goods without any delay, demurrage and penalties.
- Obtaining proper documentation for all custom related activities.
- Maintaining all documentations like Fasah
- Being the main communication channel between the client and the Government
- Informing the client of any non-compliance with the law and advise the client about the right procedure.
- Drafting letters, applying for permissions to various bodies and individuals involved and to produce all authorization letters as and when asked for by the Government bodies.
