About the Company
Join a dynamic and rapidly growing e-commerce startup in Dubai focused on revolutionizing online shopping in the region. We are looking for a visionary and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and drive innovation.
The Role
As our CTO, you will be responsible for defining and executing our company's entire technology vision and roadmap. You will lead the development of our scalable and secure e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience. We need a leader who has a strong understanding of e-commerce technologies, proven leadership skills, and a passion for building innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive tech strategy that aligns with business goals. You'll identify emerging technologies and trends, and ensure our platform is secure, reliable, and scalable.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing technology team. You'll foster a culture of innovation, mentor team members, and manage the technology budget.
• Platform Development: Oversee the development of our e-commerce platform, including front-end, back-end, and mobile applications. You'll be responsible for performance, SEO, and integration with key systems like payment gateways and inventory management.
• Data & Analytics: Develop and implement data strategies to optimize business performance and personalize the customer experience.
• Collaboration: Communicate effectively with executive leadership and investors, and collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure alignment.

Your Profile

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role (CTO, Tech Lead, or Engineering Manager).
• Proven experience building and scaling e-commerce platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, microservices, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with technologies like React, Node.js, Python, Java, and databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
