Job Title: Credit Analyst - Banking

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our team. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of individuals and corporate clients, preparing detailed credit proposals, and providing risk recommendations that support sound lending decisions. This role is crucial in maintaining the bank's credit quality and managing credit risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate credit applications from retail, SME, and/or corporate clients by analyzing financial statements, business models, industry conditions, and credit history.
Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments for loan approvals, renewals, and restructurings.
Conduct financial ratio analysis, cash flow projections, and stress testing.
Assign internal credit ratings and recommend appropriate risk-adjusted lending terms.
Monitor existing credit exposures and ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
Work closely with Managers, Risk, and Coordination teams to structure transactions that mitigate risk while supporting business growth.
Participate in portfolio reviews and reporting to senior credit committees or regulators as required.
Stay up to date on economic and industry trends affecting borrowers and sectors.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in credit analysis or commercial lending within a bank or financial institution.
Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis and credit risk principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and banking systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CPA, FRM, or similar) is a plus.
Experience with regulatory frameworks
Knowledge of local and international banking regulations and credit risk standards.
