Careem was established in July 2012, became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Uber Technologies, Inc. in January 2020, and today operates in over 100 cities across 12 countries. Calling all wordsmiths and storytellers out there! We're looking for a talented, hands-on Copywriter to join the Creative Studio at Careem. As part of your job, you'll be responsible for crafting short and long-form copy, come up creative ideas, lead small and large-scale projects, and more importantly be the brand guardian for Careem. About the team The Creative Studio responds to product, commercial and marketing briefs from all Careem vertical services and has direct interaction with their Marketing owners: Ride hailing, Food, Groceries, Pay, Plus, and also Employer Brand. It's also under the Studio scope of work to look after the Careem mother and sub-brands, setting and spreading best practices and guidelines across all the markets.

What you'll do * Write, write, write. You'll be writing short and long-form copy every day.

• Think it, present it, do it. You'll be thinking of creative ways to elevate a Careem service, present your ideas, and take ownership in bringing them to life.
• There's no I in Careem. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best minds out there- from creatives to marketing professionals, product managers, developers, engineers, & more. You'll also work closely with various stakeholders to draft content that aligns with brief objectives & tone of voice guidelines.

What you'll need * A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in advertising

• A writing portfolio
• Sharp, creative copywriting skills
• Proven ability to successfully develop, and execute multi-channel content copies
• A knack for brainstorming- Independent, proactive and critical thinking skills
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
• English language fluency and mastery, Arabic is a plus
• Outstanding writing skills and are comfortable writing in various format.
• Hunger to learn and solve business problems in a creative way.
• Able to work individually and in a team, and hit deadlines.
