The

Cost Control Manager

will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of cost planning, budgeting, monitoring, and forecasting for civil engineering and construction projects. This role involves working closely with project managers, planners, quantity surveyors, and procurement teams to ensure project costs are effectively controlled and aligned with budgets and company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems, procedures, and reports. Prepare and manage project budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost plans. Track project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets. Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate with project teams for cost estimation during tendering and execution phases. Provide cost-related support during project risk analysis and change management processes. Work with procurement and contracts teams to validate vendor costs and payment claims. Generate accurate and timely cost reports for senior management and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations. Lead and mentor a team of cost control engineers or analysts, if required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).

10+ years of managerial experience

in cost control, budgeting, and cost reporting in civil construction projects. Strong understanding of project controls, planning, and scheduling. Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Primavera, CCS Candy, ERP systems, MS Excel). Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or building projects. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Knowledge of international cost control standards and best practices.
