The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing financial resources to ensure project success. He/ She will oversee project expense monitoring, budget assessment, and implementation of spending control measures, all integral to enhancing the overall financial performance of the project. The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing financial resources to ensure project success. He/ She will oversee project expense monitoring, budget assessment, and implementation of spending control measures, all integral to enhancing the overall financial performance of the project. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Budget Planning and Monitoring
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets in collaboration with project managers.
- Regularly monitor and analyse project costs, identifying variances and providing timely reports to management.
- Cost Analysis:
- Conduct detailed cost analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety standards.
- Forecasting:
- Utilize historical data and industry trends to create accurate cost forecasts for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost documentation.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for management, highlighting key cost metrics and trends.
- Work closely with project managers, and engineers to align cost control efforts with project goals.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong knowledge of cost control principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor\'s Degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering from a reputed and recognized university.
- Experience in Quantity Surveying will be an advantage.
- Proven experience in project cost control or financial analysis within the construction or engineering industry.
