Cost Control Engineer - Construction and Contracting Industry Our client a leading Construction and Contracting Company is looking for an experienced Cost Control Engineering for their Abu Dhabi division. Job Purpose: Ensure projects are completed within the approved budgets and minimize/avoid any deviations from the same. Responsibilities:
Review project budgets in coordination with PM(s) prior to joint sign-off as per set approval procedure.
Monitor and analyse budget utilisation (money and quantity).
Review all requests/orders from sites to ensure adherence to approved budget(s), and challenge, as required, based on sound judgement.
Monitor project change control process and flag/report on implications of changes.
Follow-up with PM(s) on periodic Cost-to-Complete (CTC).
Review and endorse CTCs and submit for approval as per set approval procedure.
Follow-up with PM(s) on Estimate-at-Completion (EAC), and review and endorse the same.
Support/coordinate with PM(s) to setup and maintain best practise cost control procedures at sites.
Analyse and report on trends and vulnerabilities.
Review and endorse progress and cost/schedule baselines and forecast prepared by contractors, and cost bases of Contractor\'s change proposals/orders.
Support in developing/reviewing cost-corrective actions and recovery plans and monitor implementation.
Requirements:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Civil Engineering strongly preferred.
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a Civil Contracting Co. in the UAE as a Cost Control Engineer.
Exceptionally well organized with an aptitude for data analysis.
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
Solid networking and interpersonal skills.
Ability to generate budgets and reports.
Strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately.
Able to develop strong, cooperative relationships with department heads.
Solution-oriented approach.
Should have strong experience in Civil Contracting costing and cost control of Civil Contracting projects.
