Key Responsibilities
Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.
Track project expenditures and compare with approved budgets.
Analyze cost variations and provide detailed reports on deviations.
Prepare monthly cost reports, cost-to-complete, and final cost forecasts.
Coordinate with project managers, planning engineers, procurement, and site teams to control costs.
Review subcontractor quotations, variation orders, and claims.
Evaluate project risks related to cost and recommend mitigation measures.
Support tendering and estimation teams with cost data and historical records.
Monitor material, labor, and equipment costs to ensure efficiency.
Assist in preparation of project financial statements and management reports.
Ensure compliance with company financial controls and procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Minimum
5-8 years of experience
as a Cost Control Engineer in construction projects (UAE experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of construction cost management, budgeting, and forecasting.
Proficient in MS Excel and cost control software (e.g., Primavera, ERP systems).
Good understanding of contracts, variations, and claims management.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with infrastructure, building, or villa projects in the UAE.
Familiarity with FIDIC contracts.
Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
