Cost Control Engineer - Azizi Developments - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Azizi Developments is hiring a Cost Control Engineer to manage and monitor the financial performance of large-scale residential and mixed-use real estate projects in Dubai. This role plays a key part in ensuring project costs are controlled, budgets are adhered to, and financial risks are identified early through accurate reporting, forecasting, and earned value analysis.

Key Responsibilities
Support development cost planning and business planning processes across all projects
Prepare detailed project cost plans and present recommendations and benchmarks during project reviews for approval
Develop and implement cost planning tools and processes to ensure consistency and accuracy
Monitor and control total project expenditure, including verification of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
Ensure all project costs are accurately recorded and allocated to the correct cost codes
Prepare cost analysis reports comparing earned value versus actual cost at cost code level
Provide planning and cost control support including variation analysis, milestone tracking, and billing processes
Review subcontractor quotations from both technical and commercial perspectives for service agreements
Develop and manage work breakdown structures to track purchases, invoicing, delivery, and project closeout
Coordinate with project management teams to resolve cost-related issues and support timely project delivery
Attend project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders as required
Prepare monthly cost reports for management review and provide recommendations to keep projects within budget
Provide cost control and planning advice to internal project teams when required
Ideal Profile
Degree in Engineering with specialization in Project Management or Cost Control
Minimum 5 years of experience in cost control or project cost management
Strong understanding of earned value management and project cost reporting
Experience using project and cost management systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Primavera
Experience with Xpedion, MS Project, and ERP systems is an advantage
