Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining cost accounting systems, analyzing production costs, preparing budgets, and offering data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze data to determine costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, labor, and overhead.
Monitor, analyze, and report on manufacturing and inventory costs.
Prepare and analyze cost reports and budgets.
Perform cost variance analysis and recommend improvements.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Conduct physical inventories and monitor cycle count program.
Maintain standard costs and ensure accuracy in ERP systems.
Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Support internal and external audits with cost-related data.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
25 years of experience in cost accounting or related financial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
