OVERVIEW:

ASNANI STEEL INDUSTRIES,

is a steel manufacturing business based in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK). The company is currently seeking to hire a senior member for our FP&A team to help develop a detailed product costing for our production.

CORE COST ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and maintain cost accounting system (Production cost item-wise) Recommend selling price guidance (based on market prices) Determine profitability on a monthly basis and item-wise Prepare and complete internal cost audits per GAAP Analyze and recommend cost saving opportunities Analyze changes to profitability and cost as we alter product mix Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs (variance analysis) Assist in audits and general ledger preparation Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program
COST ACCOUNTANT REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Minimum 2 years of Cost Accounting work experience (Mandatory) Sound understanding of accounting principles Solid cost accounting background Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent report-writing, communication skills
