Role overview Working from our Johannesburg office, the role joins the wider ESS Sales Support Team and will report to the Telesales Manager (UK based) to support the local office personnel on key sales and retention activities across multiple internal and external stakeholders such as Global Corporate Client Management, BG Corporate Sales, Global Operations, Products and Pricing Teams, Insurance brokers and other third parties.

What you'll do Support the Corporate Account Manager (CAM), in the Africa Team. This will include but is note limited to:

Download quarterly and renewal claims MI data to enable the CAM to write up claims reports

Completion of renewal documentation to support the CAM during renewal cycles

Update relevant internal systems to support the CAM

Update monthly renewal tracker for the pricing team to access to support the CAM receiving renewal terms on time

Proactively ensure all Corporate sales prospecting activity is logged accurately on Salesforce and other internal CRM systems. Support with the pre-sale quote stage on Corporate new business opportunities.

Manage emails and query escalations for the CAM as a daily support function

Action and review the initial Request for a Proposal "RFP" and facilitate Sales engagement to qualify the opportunity

Following the initial RFP review to contact under the guidance of the Sales Lead, brokers directly to obtain missing information such as claims data/membership list/address and other information as appropriate.

Work with internal stakeholders to support with the development of a corporate Pitch / RFP material and marketing collateral for BGUK corporate new business & renewal opportunities. This includes building and quality checking the BIGQ.

Prioritise urgent tasks and chase required information when necessary.

Preparing renewal documentation for a Win, filling in information before issuing to Sales to complete and sign off ensuring compliance requirement are met.

Coordinate client meetings, organising both internal and external parties' availability, room bookings, catering and material preparation as appropriate.

Assist with general workload where required to achieve optimal quality of service and quality interactions with brokers across Africa

Excellent interpersonal skills across both internal and external stakeholders

What you'll bring

Sales or Service experience within an international healthcare environment

An advantage would be having worked in, or with IPMI health insurance in Africa previously

Previous experience of global healthcare insurance or experience within the local South African healthcare insurance industry.

Experience of new business processes and knowledge of Client Management are desired.

Self-motivated, articulate and numerate with an ability to negotiate and deal with people at all levels both internally and externally.

Excellent communication and presentation skill and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Outstanding attention to detail.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.

Advanced word processing skills, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Advanced standard of written and spoken English.
